Hostel Roots will be celebrating its 1st anniversary on April 1st
Cliché but oh so true: how time flies... on Saturday April 1, 2017 we received our first guests. Immediately 3 different groups and 1 individual guest, 40 people in total. All 40 wanted breakfast the next morning. The first guests, the first check-in, the first beers, the first night, the first breakfast and on April 1, 2018 we are 365 days further. Every day we received new and even returning guests. Thousands of guests, eggs, sandwiches and beers later and an enthusiastic team richer, we can say that we are a “happy Roots family”.
Tilburg had 6e city of the Netherlands with its many festivals, concerts, surprising attractions, excellent museums, activity, great student life, the pleasant entertainment center and new developments really needs a (5-star ;-)) hostel. The fact that we were allowed to add this in this city is fantastic. Fantastic because we have made our dream come true, but especially because in this role we increasingly realize how beautiful the city is. We challenge all Tilburg residents to propagate this. If you are not convinced, we invite you to spend a day at the bar with us and experience the reactions of our (foreign) guests.
Thanks to the many entrepreneurs who care for each other, Tilburg and its visitors. The mutual collaborations are surprisingly positive.
Thanks to the local residents of Hostel Roots. It's nice that the communication is direct and open and thank you for your trust.
Thank you to our team, the volunteers, the interns and our employees. We are very proud of you, the responsibility you take and the energy you radiate, 'priceless'.
And last but not least, thanks to our wonderful guests, without you we have no right to exist. We would therefore like to ask you to always share your opinion with us. What can we improve and what should we continue? Together let's ensure that Hostel Roots has a long life. A life full of joy, special encounters and unforgettable nights.
With proud and enthusiastic greetings,
Koen & Marion
