Roots Basement Bar is a unique place in Tilburg.
Our bar is located below street level and functioned as a bank vault 100 years ago. Now we serve a delicious breakfast, fresh coffee or a draft beer, soft drink or wine. You can have a drink, play darts, work, study, dine, BBQ and enjoy one of the musical or cultural evenings.
The bar is also ideal for meetings, presentations, a birthday or any other reason to celebrate life.

Since our very first pub quiz was a success, we are already announcing our 2nd pub quiz. Mark Friday, November 27th in your calendar and don't miss this legendary moment, and put together your dream team (maximum 4 people).
Sign up via info@hostelroots.nl and secure your spot. Participation costs €20 per team, but you get a pitcher of beer included right away — so you're basically playing for free.

Rent space for meeting, workshop, presentation
Do you have a meeting, presentation, kick-off meeting, workshop, or business plan meeting and are you looking for a surprising space? Roots Basement Bar in Tilburg is accessible, easily reachable, and affordable. The cost is €150 per half-day, and for €7.50 per person, you can book a coffee/tea package. Is this space not sufficient? Our living room is also available. Always ask about the possibilities.
Dinner options
We offer various dining options in the form of a buffet or BBQ. Private dinners or wine and beer tastings are also possible; for these, we are happy to create a custom arrangement with a local partner.
Breakfast
Enjoy a good breakfast after an evening to talk about for a long time. Our breakfast platter for €10 per person. For groups, we are happy to set your table nicely or organize a buffet.

We took part in an exchange with the Avans-Fontys Tilburg legal university. It is not easy to to find a suitable and affordable place to stay for a large group of students. The organization with Hostel Roots went completely smoothly. All communication in advance went perfectly and the reception of the entire group was perfect fun evening activity and yet close to public transport for easy access to campus.
